Greetings Seeker,

Thank you for finding yourself here. I hope the the teachings and practices of Yoga, Ayurveda, massage and meditation become the home you are seeking as they have become for me. The wisdom of Yoga and Ayurveda are more ancient and vast than the human experience, yet they encompass it beautifully. My work is a humble offering, an invitation to open your own heart, body and mind to the power of the natural world. My deepest prayer is that we rebuild our connection to the natural world, through rebuilding our connection to ourselves as beings of the natural world.

Yoga and Ayurveda are my deepest passions and wildest teachers. I have watched yoga change my entire being – body, spirit and mind over the last 13 year of practice, and have witnessed countless students bloom in 8 years of teaching.

A rural Northern California native, I became a devout yogini at the age of 17 and by 19 found myself alone in stretchy yoga pants in the mountains of Kashmir wondering what the hell I got myself into. The land of shakti only sparked my hunger for Indian arts – Yoga, Ayurveda, Tantra, Sanskrit, Vedic chanting, and a deep devotion to spices.

After studying yoga extensively in India and California from 2006-2008, I received my Ayurvedic Clinical Practitioner Certification from the dhyana Center of Health Sciences in 2009. I went on to complete over 2,000 hours in a 3-year clinical internship under my beloved teacher, DeAnna Batdorff.  I have also completed summer course with Dr. Vasant Lad at the Ayurvedic Institute. In 2010, inspired by my Ayurvedic massage experience, I became a California Certified Massage Practitioner. I have studied at the Acupressure Institute, Esalen and McKinnon. I blend Ayurvedic massage with Swedish, deep tissue, lymphatic, Shiatsu, prenatal and reiki. I created an organic product line and brand, Nadi Girl Ayurveda, specializing in salt scrubs, oil blends, and medicinal alchemy.

I currently run a private massage and Ayurvedic consult practice in Oakland, CA. I was the resident Ayurvedic Practitioner for Namaste Wellness Program from 2011- 2015. In 2015, my labor of love, Yoga-Veda Shala, a 200/300 hour Yoga Alliance Certified Ayurveda-Yoga Teacher training was born and is now in its third year.

My approach to yoga is inspired by studying the theory of the “vinyasa krama” system at the Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram in India. I have been fortunate enough to have more than 3,000 hours of Yoga, Ayurveda and Massage trainings. I have had pleasure of studying with Swami Santhiprasad, DeAnna Batdorff, Dr. Vasant Lad, David Crow, Ana Forrest, Rod Stryker, Mark Whitwell, Vickie Russell Bell (restorative yoga)  and longtime teacher, Alice Joanou.

My teachings reflect love, curiosity and dedication to yoga, self-care, activism, nature and breath.  My yoga classes weave my passion for the traditional yoga & Ayurveda with evolutionary movement, chanting and the occasional swear word for a refreshingly honest experience. In my dedication to service I always offer safe adjustments.

I am also influenced by 5rhythms dance, Vipassana Meditation, Lakota sweat lodge, primitive skills, Vedic chanting, and herbalism. I moonlight as professional aerialist-specifically aerial rope. I can also be found dancing, swimming, playing with plants and drinking chai.

I am in deep gratitude to all the teachers, students, clients, and friends who have helped make this work possible. Through our collective dedication these ancient practices are healing this modern world. It is the belief in self-care and healing that sustains this work.

Thank you to all who are dedicated to this path. My you find home
