200-Hour Yoga Veda Vinyasa Teacher Training
21 day Residential Training Oaxaca Coast, Mexico
March 1-20 2026
The world is changing, and more than ever we’re all in need of steady, strong, patient and compassionate voices to lead.
Yoga Veda Vinyasa YTT returns with a comprehensive 200-hour vinyasa teacher training viewed through the lens of Ayurveda, with a strong emphasis on how to lead, teach, and embody yoga in daily life.
This 21-day residential immersion is located at Santuario Shala — a stunning beachfront retreat center near Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca, MX. Created by lead trainer Kameko as the dedicated home for Yoga Veda trainings, Santuario Shala offers an intentional, educational, and supportive environment for deep learning and transformation.
Training is led by Kameko Shibata (ERYT-500, MA Ayurveda), with support from Courtney Choubler (ERYT-200, anatomy & asana) and local instructors. Yoga Veda is a Yoga Alliance–recognized school now in its 10th year, with more than 100 graduates from trainings held in both the U.S. and Mexico.
Our curriculum emphasizes anatomy, alignment, intelligent sequencing, self-inquiry, and teaching methodology — woven with the philosophy of the Yoga Sutras and grounded in the five elements of Ayurveda. You’ll learn elemental sequencing, work with a core all-levels vinyasa template, and develop your authentic voice and creative teaching style. Our unique focus on Ayurveda — the science of self-healing — supports not only your teaching, but your personal wellbeing and lifestyle.
Whether you plan to become a teacher or simply wish to deepen your practice, this 200-hour immersion offers a powerful path for learning, transformation, and growth — personally and professionally.

Yoga has been Courtney’s sanctuary for nearly 20 years—first as a path to physical healing, and ultimately as a lifelong study of movement & mindfulness. With over a decade of teaching experience and 350+ hours of advanced training, Courtney has become a dedicated leader in yoga education, having guided multiple teacher training programs in Denver, Colorado with a strong emphasis on anatomy, alignment, and intelligent sequencing.
Courtney blends yoga, meditation, and sound to create grounded, immersive practices that help students build confidence, clarity, and authentic connection. Whether in the studio, on retreat, or inside a training, her approach invites students to listen deeply, move intentionally, and trust the wisdom of their own bodies.
As she continues to lead yoga teacher trainings, Courtney is devoted to empowering new teachers with strong foundations in anatomy, alignment, and sequencing—while guiding them to cultivate their own voice, presence, and purpose on the mat.
