Were back with our 5th annual Nurture in Nature Retreat: January 18-23 2026
We invite you to put down the hustle of life and nurture yourself in nature on our favorite virgin beach on the Oaxaca coast in Mexico. Practice/lodge at Kameko’s beach front retreat center, Santuario Shala, and lodge with at our neighboring beach front villa featured in Elle Decor, Casa Maya.
We begin the day with a beach stroll to the yoga shala for a 2 hour strong flow practice and end with an afternoon restorative or mellow flow and sunset. We will explore Ayurvedic medicine, relax with a sound healing, gorunf with a cocoa ceremony. We offer plenty of time to explore, connect, rest and play. There will be plenty of free time to go on adventures, be still in nature, pool or the sea, or add a massage service or excursion. We will take an evening shopping trip and dinner excursion in Puerto Escondido. The menu for the week will be delicious local and fresh food with a focus on Mexican specialties. All meals and non-alcoholic beverages included. (vegetarian, vegan, gluten free options available). Join us!

Kameko is passionate about bringing yoga and Ayurveda into all communities. She is also deeply influenced by aerial acrobatics, 5rhythms dance, Vipassana Meditation, Lakota sweat lodge, primitive skills, Vedic Chanting, Sanskrit, ecological and social justice, herbal medicine and has a deep devotion to spices. Born and raised in California she currently resides in Rural Coastal Oaxaca, Mexico, and excited to share her “new home” with you!

Our Retreat Location
Our retreat location: Casa Maya + Santuario Shala
Casa Maya is a stunning home right at the shore of the Pacific Ocean. Designed and owned by our neighbors it is a gem, features in Elle Decor. Wake up surrounded by a stunning infinity pool and spectacular ocean views. Each bedroom features a private bathroom. There are 2 Shared Rooms and 2 Single Rooms and a Royal Suite. The Royal Suite has a private plunge pool. Common areas include a designs dream open air lounge and dining room all facing the infinity pool and ocean.
Santuario Shala is a the neighboring property created by Kameko specifically for our retreats. It features 2 beautiful bungalows and a large yoga platform with stunning ocean views and likely passing whales. Her house is also onsite with a large communal pool and lounge areas for our group to enjoy.
Casa Maya and Santuario shala are 400 meters from each other within a private ranch with a short 3 min walk along the beach or on the road. They are located 30 minutes outside of the hustle of Puerto Escondido on a large virgin white sand beach perfect for long walks and epic sunsets.

Stay in one of our two private free standing bungalow features: king bed*, front open porch with private dipping pool, ocean views, surrounded by plants and a private back garden area at Santuario Shala.
Features closet, full length mirror, overhead fan, organic cotton sheets and locally made textiles.
Ensuite bathroom with hot water, open sink, toilet and shower separated with doors for privacy and easy sharing.
“Single” occupancy is for 1 person private bungalow. For double occupancy just add the quantity.
Price is all inclusive and includes accommodations, meals, classes , transport for 1 or 2 people respectively for 5 nights 6 days.
* King bed can be converted into 2 single beds in advance.
Please note if you stay on one of the bungalows: you will be steps away from the Yoga deck, and have access to the large pool and lounge area at the Santurario main house. Pre breakfast and some dinners will be served at Santuario shala. However, breakfast and lunch will be served at our neighboring property, Casa Maya, 400 meters away. Please be comfortable walking between the locations (either on beach path or private road).
