Earth is the most building or additive of all the elements. When there is a predominance of the earth element there is both substance and stability.Earth element creates sense of grounding, stability , slowness, solid supportiveness

Qualities of the Earth Element

Dosha: kapha (water + earth)

Sense Organ: Nose/Smell

Gunas: slow, wet, sticky, dense, heavy, slimmy, soft, thick, smooth

Energetic pathway in hand: small finger

Bija Mantra: Lam

Chakra: 1st- Muladhara

Physical Qualities: bones, dense muscles, body mass, feets, legs, hips, lower body

Energetic Qualities:
In Balance
stable, sustainable, supportive, grounded energy, reliability, compassion
Out of Balance
very slow, sluggish, dense, heaviness, depression, lethargy, attachment, grief, exhuastion, congestion and swelling.

When Deficient: ungrounded unstable, sacrum/lower body instability, feet/leg issues, poor balance, coordination, too much air or ether elements, moving from the bones versus muscles
